FAQ

FAQ

Question: How long will I wait for an appointment?

Answer: Normally we can get your appointment scheduled within one week. If your referring provider recommended you be seen urgently, we will have you seen within 48 hours.

Question: What Conditions Need Immediate Care?

Answer: First and foremost, if you have any questions or concerns, please call our office. As a rule, if a lesion is growing rapidly (i.e., significant change over a one-to-three-month period), bleeding spontaneously, or painful, it is worth further evaluation. Similarly, if you notice a mole that is changing in size, shape, or color, schedule an appointment. Also, an expanding rash or one that includes other symptoms like fever, or any sign of infection, should be evaluated.

Question: How do I schedule my appointment?

Answer: You may call us or if you prefer, use our online scheduling platform.

Question: Where can I find New Patient Information

Answer: New Patient forms and information is found on our Patient Information Page

Question: Are My Personal Health Information and Photos Kept Confidential?

Answer: Yes! Our online dermatology care platform is secure and HIPAA and HITECH compliant.

Question: When Should I See a Dermatologist?

Answer: There are still many reasons to schedule an appointment with us during the COVID-19 pandemic, and for this reason we’re remaining open on a limited basis. Some conditions will require an office visit while others can be handled via telehealth. Dermatology is a visual specialty that is perfect for a telemedicine consultation and dermatologists have been performing this type of care for decades. By scheduling a telehealth visit with us, we can help divert care away from overburdened urgent and emergency care facilities.
